Step-by-step

How To Measure Your Foot

Measure both feet before choosing your size. If one foot is slightly longer, use the longer measurement for a better fit.

1

Place your foot on paper

Stand naturally with your heel against a wall. Place a sheet of paper under your foot and keep your weight evenly balanced.

2

Mark heel to toe

Mark the back of your heel and the tip of your longest toe. Measure the distance in centimeters or inches.

3

Compare with the chart

Match your foot length with the size chart below. When between two sizes, choose the larger size and trim down if needed.

Fit tip: If your shoes feel tight after adding insoles, remove the original shoe insole first, then test the fit again. For height boost insoles, make sure your shoe has enough heel depth.
Trim Guide

How To Trim Your Insoles

Many full-length insoles can be trimmed for a closer fit. For the cleanest result, use your original shoe insole as a template.

Always trim slowly. Cut a little at a time, then test inside your shoe before cutting more.
1
Remove your original insole Take the existing insole out of your shoe if it is removable.
2
Place it on top Align the heel of your original insole with the heel of your InsoleLux insole.
3
Trace the toe shape Use a pen or marker to trace the front edge. Keep the heel area unchanged.
4
Cut and test fit Trim along the line, place the insole inside your shoe, and check the fit before wearing.
Product Fit Notes

Fit Notes By Product Type

Different insole styles fit differently. Choose based on your shoe type, available space, and the comfort level you want.

Full-Length Insoles

Best for sneakers, boots, casual shoes, and work shoes with removable insoles. These may need trimming at the toe for a precise fit.

Adjustable Height Boost Insoles

Best for shoes with enough heel depth. Start with a lower lift if you are new to height insoles, then add layers only if your shoes still feel secure and comfortable.

Half Heel Inserts

Best for subtle heel lift and compact fit. These are easier to place inside many shoes, but they may not provide full-foot cushioning.

Arch Support Insoles

Designed to add support under the arch area. Make sure the arch position feels natural and does not push your foot too far upward inside the shoe.

Heel Cushion Insoles

Designed for extra heel comfort and impact cushioning. Check that your heel sits securely and does not slip while walking.

Before You Wear

Shoe Fit Checklist

A good insole should improve the feel of your shoes without creating pressure, slipping, or an unstable fit.

Check shoe space

Your foot should not feel squeezed after the insole is placed inside.

Check heel depth

For height boost insoles, the heel collar should still hold your foot securely.

Check toe room

Your toes should have enough room to move naturally without pressure at the front.

Check side pressure

If your shoe feels too tight on the sides, remove the original insole or try a thinner style.

Walk indoors first

Test the fit on a clean indoor surface before wearing the insoles outside.

Start with daily comfort

If using lift insoles, start with a lower height and increase gradually if needed.

FAQ

Size Guide FAQ

Quick answers to the most common sizing and fit questions.

What size should I choose if I am between two sizes?

Choose the larger size if the insole is trimmable. It is easier to trim down a slightly larger insole than to make a smaller insole fit properly.

Can I trim InsoleLux insoles?

Many full-length insoles can be trimmed at the toe area. Do not trim the heel section unless the product page clearly says it is safe to do so.

Should I remove my original shoe insoles?

In many shoes, yes. Removing the original insole creates more space and helps the new insole sit more naturally. If your shoe still feels comfortable with both layers, you may keep the original insole in place.

Do height boost insoles fit all shoes?

Height boost insoles work best in shoes with enough inner space and heel depth, such as sneakers, boots, and some casual shoes. Very low-cut shoes or tight dress shoes may not have enough room.

Why does my shoe feel tighter after adding insoles?

Insoles add volume inside the shoe. Try removing the original insole, using thinner socks, or choosing a lower-profile insole style.

Can I use one pair of insoles in multiple shoes?

Yes, as long as the shoes are similar in size and shape. For the best fit, we recommend testing the insole in each shoe before wearing it for long periods.
